PROJECTIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Praveen Kumar Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India. Before joining NIT Silchar, he was an Assistant Professor at Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. Dr. Gupta completed B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Mathematics) at D.V. College under Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. He received a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, India in the year 2011. He is a recipient of the MHRD IIT-BHU scholarship and CSIR-SRF during his Ph.D. tenure. He also received “First prize of 2011 Publication scholarships” at IIT (BHU) in the year 2011 during his Ph.D.
- His areas of research are Mathematical Modelling, Fractional Calculus, and Dynamical Systems. Dr. Gupta supervised five students (05) for their Doctoral Programme, three students (03) for their Master of Philosophy Programme, and twenty-three students (23) for their Post Graduate Programme. So far, Dr. Gupta has published around 60 research articles, out of which more than 52 articles in reputed international journals and 08 articles as book chapter publications. The number of Citations of these articles is more than one thousand eight hundred (1800+).
- He chaired various technical sessions and delivered invited lectures in various national/international conferences/STTP/ workshops in Malaysia and Thailand, including NIT Bhopal, NIT Silchar, IIIT Naya Raipur, DIT Dehradun, Assam University Silchar and Banasthali University in India, etc.
